COMPETITION RULES

PLEASE READ

Please refer to the IT LIST competition
rules before entering

* The 2012 It List is open to UK-based hairdressing professionals
who are aged 30 or under at the time of the closing date of
Friday 18 May 2012.

* You can download more entry forms below. Photocopies of the entry
form are accepted.

* You can enter more than one It List category, but separate entry forms
and CDs (see individual category criteria for more specific CD instructions) are
required for each entry submitted.

* Different team members from a single salon may enter each category in The It List.

* Only independent salon owners (sorry, no franchisees) may enter the ENTREPRENEUR category.

* Portfolio or diary entries must be no larger than A3 (297mm x 420mm).

* A completed entry form, signed by the entrant, together with the supplementary CD (see individual category criteria for more specific CD instructions), must accompany each entry. NB: please do not affix the entry form or CD to your entry.

* Only hard copies of entries will be considered. Entries sent via email or on a disc will not be accepted.

* Entries will only be returned if the entrant supplies a correctly stamped, self-addressed envelope – large enough to fit the entry. Separate return envelopes must be supplied if more than one category is being entered. Successful entries may be required for up to six months after the closing date and will be returned thereafter. Unsuccessful entries will be returned no later than three months after the closing date.

* If a correctly stamped, self-addressed envelope is not provided, entries will be disposed of six calendar months after the competition closing date.

* We are unable to guarantee return of THE VISIONARY entries.

* Panels of expert judges will assess The It List entries. A list of judges will be available on request after Monday 11 June 2012.

* Judges allocate points to each entry based on a fair and independently supervised judging system. Scores are handed to an adjudicator, who collates the marks to determine an overall result.

* There will be a maximum of five finalists in each category.

* Finalists will be notified via post by Friday 15 June 2012. A list of finalists will be published online at www.head1st.net/theitlist and in the July/August issue of Creative HEAD.

* Finalists will be invited to attend The It List Grand Final in London on Monday 3 September 2012. Travel expenses cannot be reimbursed.

* The judges’ decision is final. No correspondence will be entered into.

* Winners’ prizes must be accepted as offered. There is no cash alternative.

* No employee of Alfol Ltd or ghd, or their families, is allowed to enter The It List.

* No entries will be accepted after the closing date of Friday 18 May 2012.

* Proof of postage is not proof of delivery.

* It is the responsibility of the entrant to ensure imagery and material submitted as part of their entry or on the accompanying image CD (see individual category criteria for more specific CD instructions) are cleared for publication in Creative HEAD or any of its titles, online or in any coverage of The It List.

* If an entry does not comply with the entry criteria, it will be disqualified.

* Entry implies acceptance of these rules.
