Party conference

Top of our ticket wish list is an invite to the Topshop/Topman conference. One of the biggest events in the fashion trade calendar, essensuals are about the only hair pros who can get a foot in, and they did so this year for the seventh time running.

Here future trends are revealed to Philip Green’s army of stylists, management and PR teams with essensuals helping to pull each look together. Head stylist for the women’s show Claire Higgs, along with her team, created sleek buns and very on-trend messy side plaits. For the guys, Jim Shaw and his essensuals men, worked with each model’s natural hair texture, creating a range of cool and dishevelled looks alongside manning host for the day James Corden’s hair.

What started with a catwalk show for 40 models, at the gorgeous grounds of Parkstead House in Roehampton, ended with one heck of a hula. Drinks flowed, food was abundant, live acts played and there was a nail, massage and barber tent, and wait for it, hot tubs with bikinis and trunks provided by Topshop/man of course!
