Sacha Mascolo-Tarbuck
What have been your defining moments in session?
There have been many defining moments over the years, from working with Guido on shows with Kate Moss in the early days, to more recently, watching the hair the team and I have created for designers like Giles and Todd Lynn. It is an unique experience that I’ll never grow tired of.
What was your most memorable show?
The late, great, Alexander McQueen in Paris.
Any fashion disasters?
Nothing that hasn’t been turned around – and that’s all part and parcel of the session experience! Things never go exactly to plan.

What do you do when the pressure rises?
Keep focused and maintain a sense of humour! It helps having a team that you trust implicitly to support you.
What have been your fashion highlights?
Sitting front row, next to Anna Wintour at a Gareth Pugh show, and watching McQueen’s last show in Paris.
What’s your ultimate way to unwind after the Fashion Week season?
Having a young family keeps me grounded, but a glass of champagne at the after parties helps to ease the pressure of a busy day.
Who is your mentor and why?
Guido (Palau) and Eugene (Souleiman). I’ve had the pleasure to work with both of them and their talent is immense.
Do you have any session tricks you can tell us about?
Be prepared for every possibility.
What’s your kitbag must-have?
For me it’s label.m. You need a haircare range that you feel really confident with and that has real versatility.
What are your words of wisdom to aspiring session stylists?
Grab every opportunity with both hands and work hard to maintain the relationships you make along the way.
What do you love about A/W10?
I love the A/W shows – the fabrics and sense of drama all add to the excitement of the occasion. It’s a very exciting time to be part of London Fashion Week.
What was your favourite show this season and why?
Todd Lynn. He has such an unique style and is an absolute pleasure to work with.
