The Trend

A mouth-watering palette of sumptuous colours are warming us up this winter. Satins, sequins, furs and feathers were walked down the runway in an array of festive hues: emerald greens, ruby reds, luxurious purples and deep, deep blues.

Labels we loved
Victoria Beckham
Ms Beckham proved her fashion credentials once again with her A/W11 collection. Berry reds in form-fitting dresses owned the catwalk, topped off with swimming-style skullcaps for an unexpected edge.

Marc by Marc Jacobs Mr Jacobs proved that the summer affair we had with the ’70s was still alive this winter, with a retro collection of emerald green and pops of ruby red paired with tweed for a more tailored feel.

Miu Miu Responsible for the most coveted glitter shoes of the season, Miu Miu’s ’40s-inspired collection celebrated The Lady. Velvet clutches in deep red and green were topped of with deep red lips for full effect.

Also seen at… Gucci, Haider Ackermann and Christian Dior.

Catwalk colour
When it comes to getting and keeping rich and glossy locks, the experts at JOICO have come up with the perfect solution. The brand new Vero K-Pak Color Intensity collection is available in five semi-permanent shades – red, yellow, orange, indigo and pink – alongside a clear mixer for you to create your desired shade. The shades can be applied directly from the tube for maximum impact, mixed together, or toned down with a splash of clear mixer – the possibilities are endless. And to make sure you keep colour rich, glossy and vibrant, the K-Pak Color Therapy Range is guaranteed to strengthen hair while doubling the longevity of that all-important colour. It’s a shampoo that cleanses and strengthens colour vibrancy and shine, a conditioner to eliminate frizz and protect colour intensity, and a Colour Restorative Styling Oil designed to discourage premature colour fading.
